AUSTIN, Texas (AP) The Latest on a shooting at the Orlando-Fort Lauderdale airport (all times local):6:10 p.m.
Authorities say a gunman opened fire at a Florida airport Sunday, killing at least 50 people and wounding dozens more.
At least 17 people were killed and at least 60 others were injured, including several children.
The FBI says the incident began around 6:30 p.ms. at the airport.
A witness says a gunman entered the baggage claim area and began firing.
The shooter, who was later identified as Omar Mateen, has been identified as a 27-year-old former United States citizen who served in the military, a law enforcement official told ABC News.
The official said investigators are still trying to piece together what led up to the shooting, and no motive has been revealed.
A manhunt is underway.
Authorities identified the victims at the scene of the shooting as: A woman who was pregnant and was in the process of giving birth; a man in his 30s who had a child, and a woman in her 20s who was visiting family in Orlando.
Authorities say Mateen killed himself in the airport terminal.
Authorities said Mateen had no known connections to terrorism.
Authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Authorities have not said what type of firearm Mateen used in the attack.
He had a criminal record, including convictions for armed robbery and drug possession.
He was deported three times, and his wife had a previous arrest for domestic violence.
Police said they were also investigating whether Mateen may have been involved in a deadly attack in Orlando in December, in which 49 people were injured.
Authorities believe the shooting may have started as a domestic dispute, but investigators are working to determine what happened.
Authorities are still searching for evidence of a motive.
Authorities released a statement saying the shooting happened after the shooter got into an argument with a passenger who was carrying a handgun.
The passenger pulled out a gun and pointed it at the suspect, who fired at him.
The man was transported to a local hospital, where he died.
Authorities also said Mateens wife was arrested on Friday after being arrested for a warrant stemming from the domestic violence incident in December.
